Special Order No. 362}

      Whenever eight companies for the force now organizing under General Orders No. 78, of not less than thirty-two men each, shall have assembled at the government fort at Buffalo, and shall have been inspected and mustered into the service of the United States, the said fort shall be considered a branch of the depot established in this city, and thirty cents per day for subsistence will thereafter be allowed for each recruit until the regiment shall be organized or ordered into the service.  Brigadier-General Rathbone will detail an officer to take command, and will include in his reports to this department the reports from the branch depot hereby established.
